Noun Clauses - Uses"Noun clauses do the work of nouns.  A noun clause is used as the object of an infinitive."  Marie is now painting the backing board for the mural she is planning to create.  While she does this, she provides examples of the following: a noun clause used as the subject of a verb; a noun clause used as the object of a verb; a noun clause used as the complement of a copula verb; and, a noun clause used as the object of the preposition.
